Lesley Garrett 萊斯麗．嘉芮 1955年出生英國。有個喜愛音樂的
家庭，祖父是個古典鋼琴家，後來她進入皇家音樂學院唸書時，在
1979年獲得了「Katheleen Ferrier Award」獎，從此開始了職
業音樂生涯，尤其是她在英國國家劇院擔任首席女高音時，因為演
出一系列自製歌劇「費加洛婚禮」、「女人皆如此」等開始迅速打
開知名度。
